Bob was my cousin, his father and my mother being brother and sister. We grew up together in our early years being born only 3 months apart.Later we found we were serving our time in two shipyards which were next to each other on the river Tyne and then when we were both married we lived no more than 200 yds from each other. All fleeting ships that past in the night.A LOVELY happy person who I am proud to call MY COUSIN.Goodbye lovely man.
Hi i'm Ruby's daughter, sad to say I didn't really know my cousin Bob but having watched the funeral service and listened to all the lovely things that was said about Bob it sounds to me that he was a good man and has raised a lovely family, my condolences to you all. X
Thinking of you all and wishing we could be there. Much love from Leaha and Monique xxx
Bob was my family and I's next door neighbour - but he was some much more than that. Over time, Bob, Janice, Jason and Hayley became very good friends of the my family and by association, became our family.
Many times my Dad and late Mum would make the trip 'over the fence' to visit the Erringtons for their regular friendly catch ups which usually involved lots of laughs and a few cheeky drinks.
Bob always struct me as the the quiet one yet the life of the party, the group larrikin, very smart and quick witted. I enjoyed learning lots from him when it came to his passion of restoring vintage cars.
In business, he always had a keen eye for detail, was ever approachable and professional.
To me, Bob was a true gentleman who focused intently on his family, nothing was a problem or issue. I will cherish the fond memories I have knowing Bob and am so very grateful for knowing and associating with such a great man.
To Janice, Jason and Hayley, I am so sorry for your loss.
We are sending all our love and prayers, you are in our hearts. Love Hamish, Amanda, Isobella and Imogen xox
