 Passed away peacefully at Hawkes Bay Regional Hospital with his family by his side on Monday 26 February 2024.

Treasured husband and best mate of Christine. 

Adored dad to Leisa and Stuart, Paul and Lisa.

Special Pa to Madi, Baxter, Harry, Millie and Ben. 

A celebration of John’s life will be held at St Columba’s Presbyterian Church, Gloucester Street, Taradale on Friday 1 March 2024 at 2pm. Followed by a private cremation.

John was a gentleman and a gentle man.He left a great impression on all those who met him.

Condolences on the loss of John. His warmth and love was felt by everyone who met him. I am so appreciative of the he, and Christine, welcomed me into the family. I will always remember that cheeky glint in his eye.

Tribute to John Campbell from Jill and Bert Ewing in South Africa
We first met John and Christine when they came to our daughter Sheena and Graham Browns wedding in Johannesburg in 2006.
We subsequently met them in New Zealand and enjoyed his quiet way of living and conversing.
