Although I really knew Vincent through his sister, Betty, I had the pleasure of spending time with him in Napier when I lived in New Zealand briefly, and in London when he visited on occasion and for the funeral of his sister. I remember most his smile; a smile that echoed that of my father, David. Both, I think were cut from the same cloth; gentle, caring, warm and loving. I will treasure my memories of Vincent and his sister Betty who was such a big part of my life growing up and who shared with Vincent a kindness of spirit and love of family. With love to you all from everyone in the UK.
Vincent sadly we had a house full of covid on the day of your goodbye and had to isolate, you will be remembered well and missed. may the music play on
Vincent enriched and contributed to my musical life as founder and conductor of the Concord strings ensemble. It was a great privilege to be part of his music making during these 4 decades.
