Rosalie Joan Sutherland

Aged 78 years. Passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on April 3, 2019.

Dear wife of the recently passed Warwick. Beloved mother of Matthew and Evan, mother-in-law of Deborah and Paivi, grandmother of Oliver, Alexandra, and Aslak.

Much missed sister of Jennifer and all her extended family.

Many thanks to the staff of Duart Rest Home.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Rosalie’s memory can be made to the Cancer Society.

A service to celebrate Rosalie’s life was held in the Dunstall Memorial Chapel, Edwardes Street, Napier on Monday, April 8 at 10:00am, followed by private cremation. Messages to the Sutherland family can be left via www.dunstalls.co.nz or sent C/- PO Box 1055, Napier 4140

Dear Matthew, Evan and families plus Jennifer and all Rosalie's extended families.
We were, unfortunately, unable to attend Rosalie's funeral in person but have just watched the live screening. It was a fine service and we learnt so much about Rosalie's life, especially her early days
.In recent years we would meet up with Rosalie and Warwick when they visited Wellington (Chris is Warwick's cousin). We have many happy memories of the times we spent with them both at our home here in Karori, where we shared much laughter and non-stop conversation. We will remember Rosalie's gentle and happy nature and her intelligence. She and Warwick were clearly devoted to each other and we were well aware of how happy they were together. we were very sorry to learn of Rosalie's recent death.
Please accept our sincere condolences on your loss of Rosalie. May you always treasure the many loving memories you have of her.

Hi family
That's a great photo of Rosalie. It gave me quite a start to see it as I scanned the funeral web site. I'm sorry I don't be there today but all of us at bannockburn will be in attendance at 10 thanks to modern science.

Our thoughts are with you all as you farewell this lovely lady.
We had the pleasure of finally meeting cousin Rosalie & Warwick last December and we will remember her fondly.
