Peacefully at home on Thursday November 8, 2018.

Loved husband of Pam. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Juliet and Tex Charlton, Hamish and Jacqui, Richard and Kerri. Dearly loved Poppa of Jess, and Jake; Dylan, Finlay, and Connor; Luca, Che, and Sol. Loved son-in-law of Wendy Throp.

A funeral service for Jim was held in the Dunstall Memorial Chapel, Edwardes Street, Napier on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 12.30pm followed by private cremation.

In lieu of flowers a donation in Jim’s memory to Cranford Hospice would be appreciated and can be left at the service or via www.cranfordhospice.org.nz

To Pam and Family we send you our Sincere Sympathy on the loss of Jim, may your Memories sustain you through this sad time.We remember him as a near neighbour, great lamb shearer with David and just a great guy.

Dears Pam,and all your family, Was very sad to hear about Jim. He was a very special person, the salt of the earth and always willing to listen,emphasise,enjoy a joke,and so caring.We will miss him though we hadn’t seen much of him in later years.I enjoyed my time with him when he was building Mick”s memorial seat.He built so many beautiful things in stone that will be with us forever. We are sorry not to be with you tomorrow but our thoughts and love are with you at this time and your family especially Hamish who has had so much to do with our family in the past.Remember dancing on the table, the Christmas and New Year fairies!!
