“Muzza” – racer, battler, and proud last-word enthusiast

Crossed the ultimate chequered flag just after 6:00am, doing it his way—peacefully at home, surrounded by family and a pit crew of love, including his three adored grandkids.

True to form, he showed remarkable determination right to the end, even managing one final word after we thought the race was run—because of course he did.

Muzza lived a life well-driven and well-loved, leaving tyre marks on the hearts of all who knew him. He played a part in many stories, most of them better (and louder) for it.

An open service to celebrate a life less ordinary will be held in Taup? on Sunday 22nd March at 1pm, The Founders Chapel of Remembrance. 117 Rickit Street,Taupo. All who shared in Muzza’s journey are warmly invited to attend and raise a smile (and perhaps a story or two).

Deepest thanks for the overwhelming support and love—he would’ve appreciated it, even if he pretended not to.
