Formerly of Dunedin, Brian passed away peacefully at his home in Summerset in the Palms after a sudden illness on Saturday 10 th  May 2025, surrounded by family and loved ones. Much loved husband to the late Adele.

Beloved father and father in law of Maree and Chris Wong, and Kim. Much Treasured Grandad to Tim, Sophie, Katherine, Elizabeth and Sam. A cherished and loving companion to Ellaine Benson.

Remembered for his kindness and generosity by Maree’s birth family in Australia.

Brian was a valued community member at his church, St Columbas, Mahana Dementia Care and his residential home at Summerset in the Palms.

Please join us to celebrate Brian’s life at St Columas Presbyterian Church, Gloucester Street, Taradale on Friday 16 May 2025 at 1pm, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers a donation to Dementia Hawkes Bay Mahana program would be appreciated and can be left in the entrance to the church. RIP Uncle Brian.Although I'd not seen you for many, many years - I do remember you fondly from childhood. Your wacky sense of humor- very simular to Dad's. Happy times for us kids at Nana & Pops place - celebrating special occasions & Christmas Days. Simple, fun times. You outlasted Dad by 4 years & now you're all together.Thinking about my cousins Maree & Kim - it's a tough time for those left behind. You led a full & happy life - Fly free now.
