Val (Valerie Anne) Sunnex, née Wise

A life filled with Love & Laughter, Family & Friends

Passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on the 1 March 2025.

A much-loved Wife of David Sunnex, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Val was the heart and soul of her Family and the life of every gathering. 

Val will be at home Wednesday 5 and Thursday the 6 of March, welcoming anyone who wishes to pay their respects and say goodbye. A farewell service will be held at the Taradale R.S.A at 11am on 7 March.

A livestream will be available through Dunstalls. In lieu of flowers, Val's preference was donations to support Cranford Hospice. As a family we would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation for the excellent care and support she received from all at the Hastings Hospital.

I was lucky enough to be introduced to both Val and Dave at the Taradale Rsa 4 or 5 years ago.
I would often join Val for a chat and a laugh over a glass of wine.
From time to time both Owen and I would join them also at the country Music clubs in both Napier and Hastings.
I will miss our Texts Val.
You will be sadly missed by many.

You have lost the Matriach of your family and a friend to many but the memories you shall all have of her will live on forever through you all.
Val we shall miss you enthusiasm and spark but rest in peace you have left your mark on us all.
