Beth passed away peacefully on the 1st August, aged 84, after a long journey battling dementia.

Dearly loved wife of the late Graham, and cherished Mother and Mother in Law of Malcolm and Roger, Catherine, Jacqueline and Lindsay, and adored Grandma of Sheridan and Haydn.

 

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff and caregivers of the Pohutukawa Wing, Colwyn House, Hastings.

 

A Service to celebrate Beth’s life was held at St John’s Cathedral, Browning Street, Napier, on Friday 4th August at 11am, followed by Interment at the Wharerangi Cemetry.

 

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Dementia NZ may be given at  www.dementia.nz . A tribute to Beth or messages to her family can be left via www.dunstalls.co.nz or posted to The Mott Family, C/o PO Box 1055, Napier, 4140.

Malcolm, Catherine and Jaqueline. My family join with me in sending you our deepest sympathy. Beth was an amazing lady and will be sorely missed. How many hundreds of girls thank her for being a wonderful Brownie Leader and making a difference in their lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time of loss. Dear Aunty Beth, you always had a smile and we're such a loving, giving soul. Even after mum and dad (Beth's brother) separated you kept in touch with mum and made us always feel welcome. I treasure the times you brought Grandma Ryder down to visit.
To our cousins who we seem to have somehow lost touch with, we had great times playing as kids. Do you remember all trying to fit in Aunty Raylee's Bambina car?
My children all especially remember Beth by her Chocolate Self Saucing pudding, which got made many many times over my four children's cooking sessions!
Rest in peace dear Beth, your mind will be clear now.

Dear Malcolm, Catherine and Jacqueline. My thoughts are with you at your most saddest time. Aunty Beth was a wonderful lady that was a wonderful friend to mum and more importantly helped to bring us Boyd’s up. I always remember the wonderful food, that we weren’t allowed at home, the walnut tree and the wonderful warm and safe home we could be in when mum was in hospital. I saw her speeding ????through Taradale on her mobility scooter just before dad died. She knew me and she told me all about what you were up to. How quickly things change. I am so sorry that mum and I can’t be at her funeral. If we believe, she is now with your dad after all this time. Take care. Love the Boyd family. ??????
