Passed away on 23 July 2023 aged 80.

Loving husband and Pal to Sheryl. Loving father and father-in-law to Pete and Dora, and Nick and Rachel. Loving stepdad to Jo, Trish and Malcolm and Michelle.

A service for Peter was held in the Dunstall Memorial Chapel, Napier on Thursday 27 July 2023 at 11am, followed by a private cremation.

Passed away on 23 July 2023 aged 80.

Loved husband of the late Guiseppa Bartle for more than forty years. Adored and much loved Poppa of Oscar, and Pedro, Jade, Jamie (deceased), Cory, and Cam.

A true gentleman to the end.

 

I am sad to learn of Peter's death. He is the last of my cousins from the family of Uncle Bob and Aunty Gladys. In recent times our paths rarerly crossed, but they did much more often in our childhood, when they were at Warkworth and Napier. When I was last talking to Peter after the death of his brother Rhys, I was struck by his expression of the Bartle way: quiet, gentle, and a strong affirmation of the important values in life: love, integrity, practical goodness. May he rest in peace.
