Passed away peacefully on Monday 17 July 2023, aged 89.

Loved husband of Nellie.

Much loved father and father-in-law of Kim and Elisabet (Sweden) and Daniel (Sweden). Loved grandfather of William, Christopher, Charlie, Oskar and Markus.

Step-father of Warren, Chris and Yvonne, and loved grandfather of Ben, Ashley and Christine and Courtney. Very proud great-grandfather to Xavier.

A service for Jimmy will be held at the Dunstalls Memorial Chapel, Napier on Friday 21 July 2023 at 11am followed by a private cremation.

 

I'm very sorry to learn of Jimmy's passing Nell. He was an inspiration to us all. We will forever treasure the memories we have of our discussions and interactions with him. Sadly I wasn't able to attend his service as I was in Auckland attending another funeral at the same time. Condolences on your loss and our best wishes for the days ahead.

To the Lim family
Today was a sad day for us especially for Jacob. Uncle Jimmy was Jacob first coach at the age of 8. Jacob’s nickname was “star”. Not only was he his coach but also a grandfather figure in his life. They went to many tournaments in the white bubble car! They Won tournaments, he attended Jacob’s school prize giving for junior sports person for badminton. We will all miss him. Young Family.
