Passed away peacefully after a short illness surrounded by her family on May 19, 2023.

Loved wife of the late Bernard.

Loving mother and mother in law of Mandy and Ike Smith.

Loved Gran of Ethan, Kasey and Petara, and Mackensie.

Treasured GG of her great granddaughters Paige and Olivia.

Loved sister of Kay and Jim (deceased), Mark and Odelle, and Phillip and Margaret. Loved by her many nieces and nephews.

Thank you to all the staff off A1 HBRH and Cranford Hospice who have cared for Marlene.

A celebration of Marlene’s life will be held at the Dunstall Memorial Chapel, Edwardes Street, Napier on Friday, 26 May 2023 at 1pm, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers a donation to Cranford Hospice can be made at www.cranfordhospice.org.nz or left at the entrance to the chapel. Tributes may be left at www.dunstalls.co.nz or posted to The Menefy Family C/- Po Box 1055 Napier.

Marlene, I am thinking of you today and reflecting on your legacy of love, kindness and compassion. You embodied love for Mandy and everyone else you came in contact with.
