Aged 98 years.

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Irene, but with gratefulness for all she has given us and many others. Devoted wife of the late Len for 67 years. Loved mother and mother-in-law of the late Pamela, Gavin and Margaret, Neville and Maria, and Fiona and Jonathan Bayliss.

Loving Babushka to Vitaliy and Victoria. Loving Nana to Vanessa, Amanda, Michelle, Nathan, Matthew, and Sarah. Great Grandmother of Beau, Eli, Keira, Zoe, Abigail, Olivia, Noah, Renee, and Oliver. Eldest daughter of Ted and Catherine Cressey, sister to the late Valerie, Ngaire, the late Pauline, Dorothy, and the late Ross.

Special thanks to all the staff at Atawhai Rest Home for all the care you gave Irene.

A service for Irene was held at All Saints, Anglican Church, Church Road, Taradale on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 1.30pm. Followed by interment at the Taradale Cemetery.
