Passed away peacefully at Gladys Mary Rest Home, Napier on 26 July 2022, aged 95 years.

Loved wife of the late Laurie Silk. Much loved mother of her late son Colin, Jean (London) and her late step son Terry (Wales).

A thank you to the staff at Gladys Mary for their care and kindness given to Eileen.

A celebration of Eileen’s life was held at The Salvation Army Citadel, 56 Tait Drive, Greenmeadows, Napier, on Tuesday 9 August 2022 at 1.30pm followed by private cremation.

In lieu of flowers a donation in Eileen’s memory to The Salvation Army via www.salvationarmy.org.nz/centres/nz/east-coast/napier would be appreciated.

Dear Jean,
I've just read of your mother's passing and wish to send Dad's and my condolences. I have fond memories of 'hanging around' at the flat when your family first emigrated here and our strong friendship that developed with your mum encouraging us on in our joint activities...athletics, Bible Study and helping the little ones.Over 50 years of letters and catch ups.
