Aged 93. Dearly loved wife of the late James Donald Gunnell and mother of Wayne, Barbara, John, Phil, and Gerard; also a loving and loved Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Shirley passed peacefully after a short illness. The sincere thanks of the family to the staff of A&E and Ward 14, Whangarei Hospital.

The funeral was held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Osier Road, Greenmeadows, on Wednesday 13th July 2022 at 11am.

Followed by burial with Don at Western Hills Cemetery.

Shirley was a special aunt who was always caring and a lot of fun. Shirley will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with Wayne, Barbara, John, Philip, Gerard and their families. Take comfort as her life was well lived.
