Courageously left us on Sunday August 1, 2021 at Colwyn House.

Beloved husband of Patricia (Pat)

Adored fabulous dad of Tracey and Alex (Dunedin), Damian, Khylee (Gold Coast). Loved father in law of Bee (Gold Coast), Dawn (Porirua), and Matthew.

Foster father of Georgina.

Darling Papa of Caleb, Maia, Luke, Jess, Aeliscia, Jacob, Danielle, Corbyn; Mitchell, and Sophee (Gold Coast), Hayley and Boi (Wellington).

Great Papa of Waitere and Opihi.

Loving brother in law to Arthur. Father figure to Michael and his much loved sister in law Hazel.

Dearly loved by his sister Emma and sister in law Sally.

Loved by his many nieces and nephews all of whom he was extremely proud. A good loyal friend to his mates.

Home at last where struggles of the world are no more.

 Where sorrow, tears and pain cannot exist.

So unbearable is our sadness, yet now how joyful must be his gladness.

Our darling Totara tree tall and steadfast we thank you.

A funeral service was celebrated at St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Munroe Street, Napier on Wednesday August 4, 2021 at 1pm, followed by interment at the Wharerangi Cemetery.

The days were stretched longer for you papa, because they were filled with pain and hurt, but they were shorter for us because we only got to see you in a small window of time during the day and we were so used to having you whenever we needed you, you were only a drive or phone call away.
We miss you like crazy papa, but I promise people flocked into my facebook messages and text every day to see how you were. Your love spread so far and the amount of love you received back can't even begin to explain how appreciated you were.
I wish i could've cuddled up next to you, took away some of your pain, in your heart and body but you are the toughest person I know and through everything, you still managed to show us strength.
I'm sorry you were so confused, and I'm so sorry no one could clear your foggy mind but like you always said, it was gonna be okay.
