Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family in the early hours of June 13 2019. Dearly loved wife of Arthur. Beloved mother and mother in law of Andrew and Valerie, Michelle and Pete, and Hamish, and Blair. Spoiler of grandchildren Anouk, Kitty, and Zakari, and Zoe.

A service to celebrate Kerry’s life will be held at St Pauls Presbyterian Church, Tennyson Street, Napier on Tuesday, June 18,  2019 at 2pm, followed by private cremation.

Aunty Kerry was a huge bundle of generosity and enthusiasm. Spending time with her as a child was the best - eating ice cream and buzz bars at breakfast, playing Go Home Stay Home after dark, drinking orange juice from her childhood tea set, exploring deserted houses by torchlight... - there was no end of excitement in her company. What a special woman to so many people including the Beattie children and all their children. She will be missed by us all. Much love to Arthur, Andrew, Michelle and Hamish and their families. I met Kerry when we were both in Bethany Maternity Home just over 50 years ago having babies and we have been close friends ever since. Any problem and she would drop everything to give support, even travelling out of Napier to do so. She was always so willing to help family, friends and those in need, plus continue her social work and help Arthur in the business. She was such a giver and I feel very privileged to have known her. My thoughts and love go to Arthur, Andrew, Hamish, Michelle and the grandchildren.

Much love and respect for a women I allways look up to, thankyou kerrie for being my angel and showing me the type of person I wanted to be. Know that your kindness has shaped me, Thankyou... So sad to receive news of Kerry's passing. A true inspiration, I've never known a move giving person. I'll never forget school holidays spent down in Napier on the farm, swimming in the creek, shooting, riding quad bikes and ice cream for breakfast. A great part of my childhood years. Kerry was such a kind and generous soul. She will be missed greatly. Some of my fondest childhood and teenage memories are of the summer holidays spent in Napier with Aunty Kerry and Arthur - eating ice cream for breakfast, going camping and seeing every movie out! Napier will always be a very special place for me because of the amazing times with Aunty Kerry.
