Died at Hawke’s Bay Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital. Aged 74.

Much loved husband of Anne and loved father of Tash and Jason (deceased).

Poppa of Connor, Tyler and Lachlan.

Special mate to Chen.

Loved brother, uncle, great uncle and special fav to Ev.

Special thanks to Saskia, Sue and Margie at the hospital for your wonderful, loving care.

A service to remember Merv was held at the Dunstalls Memorial Chapel, Edwardes Street, Napier on Thursday 28th June 2018 at 2pm. Followed by a private cremation.

Donations to the Cranford Hospice would be much appreciated and can be left at the service.

My thoughts are with you. The photo is a lovely tribute to Merv. I maybe miles away but my heart is in Napier today as you say goodbye. Colin will be with you today on all our behalf. Love to you. Shirley.

Fond memories from the good old days working alongside Mervyn at Standard Motorbodies and Kearney's and taking a Mark 1 Zephyr to 90 Mile Beach one Christmas.

Dear Anne, Tash & families,
It is with my deepest sympathy & shock I have read of Merv's passing in todays paper.
Although our paths have parted over the last twenty odd years Merv & I always remained friends . I always saw Merv as a devoted Husband, father, grandad & friend to those closest to him. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.
