Loved and respected priest and confrere of the Society of Mary. Died peacefully at Hawkes Bay Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Hastings, on January 24, 2018, fortified by the Rites of the Church.
86 years of age. Son of the late William and Ellen Hamilton (nee Corcoran). Cherished brother of Margot, Mary, Judy, Janet, Jessie (in-law), and of deceased family members Patricia, Helen, Ian, Bill, George, James, Shae, and Neil.
Fr Don spent 50 years in Catholic education, Maori Pastoral care and in Parishes.
Rest in Peace
Requiem Mass for Fr Don will be celebrated at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Osier Road, Greenmeadows, Napier today Saturday January 27, at 11am, followed by interment at Hastings Lawn Cemetery, Orchard Road, Hastings.
