On July 23, 2017, peacefully at Princess Alexandra Rest Home, Napier, aged 96 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Edward Lear Gillies (Ted), mother and mother-in-Law of John and Heather Gillies, Peter and Nellie Gillies, and Sue and Euan Fenwick. June was loved Gran to Gretchen and Amy, Hamish and Kate, and Nicholas, Daniel, Matthew and Miriam, and her sixteen great grandchildren.
Special thanks to the staff at Princess Alexandra for their loving care, and Jan Kirby for her compassionate medical support.
A celebration of June’s life was held in the Dunstall Memorial Chapel, Edwardes Street, Napier on Tuesday, July 25, followed by a private cremation.
