Beloved wife of 58 years to Eric and wonderful Mother to Dave, Chris, and Steve.
Grandma to Noah, Mollie, Neil, Matthew, and Katie. Loving sister to Susan (UK), also blessed with two daughter-in-laws Bridgette, and Adelle.
Aunty and much loved friend and mentor to many more.
She is finally at rest after a long battle with illness, but she will be missed and cherished in all our hearts.
Sylvia's life was celebrated at The Dunstall Memorial Chapel, Edwardes Street, Napier on Thursday February 9, 2017 at 11am, followed by a private cremation.

We are very sad that your journey back to good health was not to be, but we know that where you have gone it will be fun and laughter 24 hours a day, and I can promise you that your family will be taken care of, just the same as you cared, and loved them. Our thought and prayers are with you and your family

To our Great Auntie Sylvia,

Despite the miles I feel like we know you so well, Mine and Lisa's relationship regularly gets compared to how you and grandma was growing up and I just know if you lived here we would have been best of friends.

May you now rest in peace as memories of you live on.

Sylvia, my sister, we have had many happy times together, many laughs and tears sometimes but we will cherish those times for ever. We will miss you but you will be in our hearts for ever. R.I.P Sylvia from Sue and brother in law Russ.xxxx

Although you have lived far away and we have only met in person a few times and spoke on the phone, due to the distance

You have always held a place in our hearts and a great loss to our family

My mum, your sister, have told us endless stories, as did you when you came over and described so many happy memories, though your descriptions were so much more theatrical and fun

you will be sadly missed by all of us
