KIERAN, Brian Laurence

Passed away peacefully on 2 nd of Jan, 2017. Much Loved husband of Rosalind Kieran.  Loved by all, including sons Ross, Matthew and Alexander, his brother Peter and friends. 

A funeral service for Brian was held at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Tennyson St. Napier on Saturday, 7 th of January 2017 at 11.00am, followed by interment at Western Hills Cemetery, Napier. My thoughts are with close family at this sad time. It had been a while since I had seen Brian but have positive memories of Brian as an older cousin when he came to visit us in the North West. He kept us entertained with his news updates and interesting and informative stories of life.

Hi Ros, I was very surprised to hear of Brian's passing, he was always great company and he will be missed by our Thursday group. Unfortunately I am committed to going to Wellington, so will miss the funeral. My thoughts are with you. Kind regards Peter

Dear Ros & Family
We were devasted to hear about the death of Brian and please accept our sincere condolences. We will remember him fondly as a gentleman in the truest sense of the word, kind, considerate and generous. We shared a love of wine and he brought many magnificent bottles from his cellar to Brookfields on a Thursday and to parties at our house. We will miss his engaging smile, wise words and sense of humour.

Dear Rosalind Family and Friends, So Sorry to hear about the loss of cousin Brian, I will always remember Brian as a charming individual who loved life and the one and only time I was a bridesmaid was for his wedding in the 60's I was delighted when I was told I was to be one of the bridesmaids I still have photograph. I was so glad I managed to speak to Brian more recently and laughed when reminiscing about my kettle for a handbag when I was a punk rocker!! in the 70's. Dear Ros and family,
My sincerest condolences to you on the passing of Brian. As a fellow 'member' of the Brookfields tasting group, it was always so lovely to share in Brian's eclectic collection of wines. I will always remember Brian as a humble, yet generous, man and I shall never forget the amazing 1992 Latour he shared before Xmas. I shall raise a toast to Brian and you all.
