McLEAN, Colin David (CD)

Aged 86 years. Peacefully passed away on 18th March, 2016, after his courageous battle, surrounded by his family at Princess Alexandra, Napier. Much loved husband of Eva (deceased). Father and Father in Law of Kerry and Tony Fox (Gisborne), Dean and Anne McLean, Glenda and Mark Burgess, and “Dad” to Lin McLaren (Brisbane). Dearly loved Grandad of Alicia and Bill Pridham (Geraldine), Gabrielle Fox and Liam Ryan (Gisborne), Tyler and Rhys McLean, Kate and Duncan Withers,(Wellington), and Alyce (London). Great Grandad of Eve Joy. Special thanks to the extended McLean family for all their loving support. Thanks to the Blind Association and Napier Amputees. Special thanks to staff at Princess Alexandra.

A celebration of Colin’s life was held at the Napier Christian Fellowship Church, 96 Meeanee Rd, Taradale, Napier on Wednesday the 23 rd of March at 2.00pm, followed by private cremation. 

 

a great panelbeater, as a car painter in the 60,s colin was a friend,after leaving napier i said to my dad, if you need a panelbeater go see colin. they became good freinds. i remember a hard worker, who i believe was never properly rewarded for his labour.. a genius on locks & door handles.

I have known Colin since I started my Apprenticeship in the Motor Trade in 1961 . A good friend has passed . R.I.P. Colin .
