On May 22, 2015 at the Taradale Masonic Residential Home, surrounded by love and all his children. Originally from Oamaru, aged 78. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Trish and Chris, Roger and Anne-Marie, Alan and Nicola, Mike and Lisa and Vicki and Iain. Precious and proud Grandad of Sabi, Jed, Sara, Kimmi, Jess, Sam, Charlie, Finn and Petra. He is now at peace with his adored wife, the late Lois Smith.
A celebration of Don’s life was held at St John's Cathedral, Browning Street, Napier, on Friday May 29, at 2pm, followed by a private family cremation.
