MAHONEY, Sister Ellen RNDM  (Nellie)

On 30 April, peacefully at Greendale Residential Care. Dearly loved member of The Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions. Loved aunt of her many nieces and nephews in the McAloon and Aspinall families.

May She Rest in Peace

Vigil Rosary and sharing was held at St Thomas More Catholic Church 92 Wycliffe St on Monday 4 May, at 7pm.  Requiem Mass was celebrated in St Patrick’s Church, 4 Munroe St Napier on Tuesday at 11am. Followed by interment at The Wharerangi Cemetery.    Thanks to the staff of Greendale Residential Care for their care of Ellen.  Thanks also to Dr Keith Hooper for his wonderful care of her over the years.  

Sister Ellen made the world a better place by just the way she lived her life. She always found the right words if life wasn't fair to the people she knew. RIP Sister Ellen. We are all richly blessed in the good lady she was to all. God's blessings. Janine
