A gentle passing in the arms of her daughters, aged 96 years.
Beloved wife of the late John Findlay. Loved and treasured mother of Robyn (deceased) and John Short, Michael (deceased), Jeana and (Jeremy deceased) and David Giblin, William and Belinda, Gerard, Delia and Russell West. Cherished Grandmother of Paul and Karlie, William and Meagan, Jeremy and Vicky, Bridget and Dean (Taylor), and Joshua and Verity Short. Louise Trent and Craig Ellis, Vanessa Trent and Gavin Hawke, and Matthew and Toni Trent. Guy, Oliver, and Lydia Findlay. Katherine, and Alexander Findlay (Aust). Sam, and Alice West. Super Grand Nanny to Hannah, Luke, Rachel, Rosie, Matariki, Emma, Jack, Lily, and Charlie Findlay. Gabriella, and Jeremy Hawke. Matilda, Oscar, and Pippi Ellis. Fleur, Harvey, and Erin Trent. Great, great grandmother to Tarnae Short (Aust).

A funeral service for Jean was held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Munroe Street, Napier on Thursday April 17, 2014 and followed by interment at the Ormondville Cemetery.
